Your local republicans meet in organizations called a BPOU (Basic Party Operating Unit). That is a long winded phrase which simply means – it is a group of Republicans who meet in your hometown. Aitkin County Republicans (sometimes we call ourselves "ACR") is the name for the BPOU that serves all of Aitkin county, Minnesota, and is part of Minnesota's 8th Congressional District. If you live in or have ties to Aitkin County, then this is the place for you!
A BPOU (Basic Political Organizing Unit) is the local, grassroots chapter of a political party in Minnesota, organized by a specific geographic area like a county or legislative district. Its main job is to organize party members, support candidates, and get voters to the polls. We also try to have some fun along the way, too.
The Republican BPOU in Aitkin County promotes the Republican Party of Minnesota's political platform through several key actions:
Political Organizing: We help coordinate the most localized "grassroots" level of the Republican Party, and hold regular meetings to coordinate such efforts.
Community Engagement: We participate in local community events like town parades.
Voter Engagement: We work to register and inform voters and support local Republican candidates.

Do you ever wonder, "how can I make sure that my candidate wins?" It starts here.
Do you ever wonder, "where do I learn how to become a candidate myself?" It starts here.
